She knew, both minds thought as one, one with a trace of amusement, the other with fear. The level of violence he'd leveled on each transgressors had been harsh but not unusual in his time... but perhaps unusual in the defense of a lowly human, not even any of his lo'taurs in time's past. Punishment for touching what was his, but protection, no, not for a slave. The difference was that there was a simple human slave and there was his future vessel. He would see no harm come to her, other than by his own hand.

The question could be interpreted any way. Curiosity. Fear. Hope. Sobek sniffed at the air, silently, hoping to get a taste of what it was, but the recent carnage had filled the air with iron and death. No matter. He would know soon enough.

"You will ascend to divinity at the dawn of the Age of Scales," he said. The rush of hot water hitting stone and tile thundered in the room but his words snaked their way through the splatter and hiss of steam. His eyes focused on her shoulder blades, then drifted upwards. Daniel writhed in their mind as they admired the back of her neck, thinking of how it felt to go through the skin and tissue, wrap themselves around her spinal cord and become one.

The God waited with a surprising amount of patience as the water level rose. Somehow the mechanism seemed to sense the bath was nearly full, the water slowing to a trickle and then nothing. He waited for her to come and undress him.
