Vala's train of thought was already pondering his instant siding with her, but the way he looked her over - she wasn't sure if it was Daniel or Sobek for a moment. He didn't want to see her harmed it would seem, at least not by anyone except himself and even that had been minimal. Plus the knife didn't seem to bother him at all, he would rather she have it than not.

There was genuine concern in his eyes for a brief faltering moment as he hesitated on the edge of saying something. The level of his wrath that was bestowed on the Jaffa that sought to injure her, one of his most trusted Jaffa at that, could only mean one thing.

"Why are you waiting?" She simply asked, careful that her back was turned and that neither Daniel or him would see the fear in her eyes. Vala started to draw the water without turning. Any pain in her legs or the fresh scratches on her side or her bruised wrists subsided completely at the revelation. It was like she'd flicked a switch and turned off her emotions as she watched the water cascading in. She was numb, but after a few minutes she smiled resignedly, glad that Daniel would be free, dead or alive. If she did one good thing in her life that actually worked out, it would be that.
