If Jamie thought he could insult or shame the Master with his words, he was sorely mistaken. The Master simply offered him a cold smile.

"'Traitor' implies that I was once on your side," he corrected, watching Jamie struggle with avid and cruel interest. "You don't really believe that, do you?"

He didn't give Jamie much of a chance to answer before he gripped the top of his head, fingers tangling in the younger man's thick, overgrown mop of hair. The Master brought his face close to Jamie's with a penetrating stare.

"This should seem familiar." And then he tilted his head forward to meet Jamie's. They'd just see if the ape could withstand this sort of torture.
