Eva welcomes the blade. Death would be much preferable to infestation. Death is finite and warm and peaceful, even if you get there by violent means. Death is safe. She can't be hurt anymore in death. And Marco...Marco has already mourned her. The desperation to stay free, even dead, is so much stronger than any maternal instinct she might be nurturing.
If truth be told, Eva would have welcomed death for a while now.
Unfortunately, death does not welcome her. The knife miraculously misses her jugular and instead just wounds her. If she bleeds out from this, it'll be slow and painful, rather than the fifteen seconds it might take to go from fine to unconscious from having her throat slit.
