Any relief Jamie felt over the executions being stopped was short-lived as he quickly caught on to the fact that the only reason it had stopped was because he had, in fact, said something. He knew that was kindly air was a ruse. Even if he hadn't already met Tobias Vaughan, who had acted much the same when the Doctor and Jamie had first met him, the still smoking corpses of the bug crew below were clear enough evidence of Sobek's intentions.
