One by one the slaves filed out until they found their God standing outside the slave quarters, waiting with the same patience one shows a dog that came when beckoned. Once at his feet, they knelt. Row after row heads bowed, touching the ground.
Frigid eyes looked to the Master. Would he kneel like the others?
