Was that how Daniel saw her? Sobek's knowledge of her was only through him and there were biting truths in his words. He wasn't plucking this out of nowhere, this was Daniel's view of her. He could break her bones and make her scream in pain, but nothing could hurt her as much as this. She almost wished he would do that instead, she could cope with that.

"I've done what I had to to survive. You don't know what it's like out there on your own, neither of you." It wasn't even a convincing defence, Vala wasn't in any fit mental state to break down his assumptions over what was true, nor was she seeing what he was doing to her. She only heard an opinion, one that would never trust her, Daniel's opinion.
