At the Drunken Dragon Tavern
Even if Kang hadn't already decided to stay by the tavern, he wouldn't have been able to get very far from it before running into hordes of robots. They'd moved into the City quick (or had they been there all along?), and several were making a beeline that way, from all directions in an attempt to completely surround it, their intentions clear.
Cursing, he rushed over to the other building, where he happened to live, to grab his armor and weapons. He'd gotten out of the habit of carrying more than his dagger when he was in the tavern itself; that was something that was no longer going to happen. By the time he got back downstairs, he could already hear their approach, and he hoped that others would show soon. It was one of the slow hours, with little to no patrons.

Ignoring the pain from his healing wing he banked, sharp eyes easily picking out the horde heading in the direction of the Tavern as well as other hordes in the distance heading elsewhere. Without a second thought he winged his way toward the tavern, landing carefully on one the buildings overlooking the area, one that at least could support his considerable weight.
He may not be the help Kang wished, but he would help nonetheless.

As she made her way through the streets towards the Drunken Dragon, that proved to be a smart choice, as she skirted along in the shadows, watching the little robotic creatures advancing on the tavern. To engage them solo would just be stupid, so she climbed the nearest fire escape and continued on her way along the rooftops. If her magic were only working, taking these things out with Odin's help would be child's play.
She reached the tavern a little ahead of the horde, and while she noticed the large dragon hanging out on the roof she ignored it for the moment, heading down to the ground level to look for any unarmed bystanders.
"If we have anyone who can't fight nearby you need to get down, we have hostile forces incoming!"

Lightning got a terse nod of greeting, "I don't know if there's anyone else nearby. There was one or two people still in the tavern when I ran to get my gear, and for all I know, they ran off somewhere else already."
Then the robots got close enough that he could see them coming down the streets.
"...sharkticons?"

"Who's the godsdamned-" Another stream of obscenities, "-chakking moron who decided to build mecha-murlocs?"

Without it, Rhiow was defenseless. Kang was likely to be at the tavern, and Rhiow needed to be somewhere that smelled safe, where she knew she would be protected.
The shark robots were getting closer to the tavern by the second as she streaked in through the back door and squeezed into the nearest cabinet, curling into a tight ball in the very back.

Swooping down upon the advancing beasts to snatch one a piece in each of his fore claws before his drew up and out of reach. Crushing the metal monstrosities he had snatched up in his claws before hurling them back into the horde below. Perhaps that would get their attention.

Whatever the reason, she needed to act. The first thing she should do was find out if there was anyone in or near the building who might need protection or if there was something of value held there. Surely these things would not be coming here without reason. The knight wished now that she had been carrying more weapons then just the sword, but wishing didn't make things true and there was no time now to go weapon searching. It felt odd to be without her Gift, but she was far from helpless even with her magic taken from her.
As she drew closer, Alanna noted the danger that the other fighters were in and drew closer to them, although the sudden dragon attack threw her momentarily. She quickly forced herself back into action though with the realization that the dragon did not appear to be an enemy or at least wasn't for now. Was this dragon the one that she'd read about? Crucible was the name that came to mind as she tried to remember all she could from the announcement over the communication device that she carried. Crucible and some other name too, but she couldn't recall it now and this was a poor time to check. She forced the thought aside. It didn't matter either way. This dragon, whether he was this Crucible or not, like these other fighters fought her enemy and so she would fight by their side for as long as needed.
"I can help," she reported as she got near enough to speak with them. "If we work together, we might be able to force them back." The odds were against them, but Alanna had never been one to give up the fight before it was fought.

His wings rustled slightly at the roar, but he otherwise ignored Crucible, turning to speak to Alanna with a grim expression. "We'll need all the help we can get." He raised his voice so all could hear, "The thing to worry about here is numbers. They aren't the most intelligent."

"I've seen worse odds." She fired a brief burst of automatic fire into the advancing crowd, careful to aim at the big ugly mouths of the three closest bots. "And now, they're slightly better."

...that kinda hits home when gravity's hold gets the better of those shots, and it rains down on the gunners, eating holes in their armor. Like Kang said - they're not bright.
Lightning's fire liberated those three from their teeth, but they continued advancing, clawed hands swinging - same with more frontliners heading for the others, though they still have their teeth.

Without interference he knew it likely that just the sheer numbers could prove to be the downfall of the defenders of the in, thus pulling his wings in he let loose a roar and dove towards the higher concentration of the metal beasts, flaring his wings at the last moment to kill some of his momentum before using the rest of his momentum and sheer bulk to crush any of the unfortunate beasts that happened to have the massive dragon land directly atop them.
Without pause he swept his powerful tail across those beasts that happened to have survived behind him, the blow likely enough to shatter boulders let alone the constructs that stood in its path. "I will deal with those I can, you will have to deal with any that get past. Use their intelligence against them,"

The dragon that Alanna assumed was Crucible made a good point though and his help was proving invaluable. At least it cut down the odds. "He's right. We need a plan. How do we fool them into destroying themselves or at least get them to back away?"
As one of the creatures came nearer them, Alanna moved out to meet it and struck at it with her sword, aiming for the parts that appeared to be the weakest, gritting her teeth as metal hit metal. Throwing all her strength into it, the strong blade did the job that it was intended to do although certainly not easily. The knight cursed loudly as she pulled her sword away.
"We need a plan," she growled as she moved back toward the other fighters, her eyes never leaving the approaching army. "I don't know much about these creatures, but we'll just wear ourselves out if we try to fight them like this. They don't seem to tire as we do."
