Is Your Love Strong Enough? Part 6 - The Final Scratch

Such a strange occurrence needed, finally a conclusion. Thanks for the Time Lord's trinket gift, there was suddenly an old, fearsome creature made of gears, it's old features squeaking (although not as bad as before, since a certain someone had given him a good oil job). Analog,the fearsome creature known by some as a the crankiest Time Dragon, walked in the city to find out o where Eleven was. She could smell him even in here, you see (wow that's creepy). Flanked by her three handmaidens, the women giggling like schoolgirls at everything, memorized at the ship. The city could hold her well, for all her large size.

First step - Find the Doctor, ask him what he wants. Step two - Do that. Step three - Get out of here.

She still was a Time Dragon, after all. Proud....and cranky. These boring old puny humanoids were nothing as the greatness of HERSELF so the sooner they were our of her mind, the better.

Ruffnut however was not finished. She slapped her hands together above her head and as she pulled them apart began to make a giant ball of electricity which crackled and buzzed dangerously making her hair and anyone close enough start to rise with static electricity.

"I AM THOR!!!" She cackled a little drunk on Lash and Zetta's power...Hopefully it wouldn't run out soon.

"Depends on the experience of the Commanding Officer and the strength of the Power Strike," Lash explained. "Each of us had a different amount of time before they were able to unleash their powers, and it could last anything from a few minutes to...a lot of them. Power Strikes were a pretty new thing, I hadn't had that much time in research." She pointed at the girls, sitting down. Her hair was pretty ridiculous right now, as the electrical static made it rise in an even silliest manner.

"Tee hee! Look at them go! Now imagine of you had your own minions out right now...that would be crazy!"

"My guys'd be a little more subdued about it. Those two are where the real value is at," Zetta said, but he wasn't watching his disciples too closely. Actually, he was thinking Lash's hair looked entertaingly cool.

Then he winced at himself. Man, he was already getting way too stupidly soft if he was thinking stupid things like that.

"This isn't much power for me," he said, to take his mind off stupid things. "I'm basically using your power as a way to get my strength to them. If you start feeling bad, I'm cutting it off, you hear me?"

Oh, she noticed that lingering look at Lash, Overlord. The most she'd give him, though, is a smug look, and decided to look at her OWN girl taking advantage of her newfound power. Her hands were itching try something of her own though, and a moment later she'd fire a few shots in the air in the blink of an eye.

NICE.

"If she starts feeling bad we stop," Mindy said, still staring at Ruffnut. "No one's fainting over this."

Ruffnut hadn't been paying attention because she was trying to figure out what to do with the ball of lightning. She ended up dropping it behind her which made a sizeable explosion and put a deep hole in the floor.

"Yeah ok. Till then..." And she was on Mindy like a bolt of lightning tackling her for the purposes of a quick wrestling match.

"Huh. So basically unlike most normal CO powers, it's like I'm acting as an AMD." Lash, Zetta probably didn't know what that was. "It's an active mass damper. Although I guess right now it's more like I'm an active MAGIC damper, tee hee! Or maybe more of a APD. Active Power Damper..."

Science tended to ruin things.

"So far I feel bad at all!" she declared. "And check this out!" she snapped her fingers and as she did so a small fizz happened there was a spark. So she did it again. And again. "It's like I'm a plasma lamp!"

"Hit Girl, if you pick up static powers too, I'm out," Zetta said, trying his best to sound serious. "Did the boost affect you besides that, Lash?"

Hit Girl rolled her eyes. "Nah, I'm sure only your girlfriend has it. But maybe I can do some other stuff like it, I dunno."

She thought a moment, then charged up the wall and found she could climb with almost no effort, then jumped off and attacked the air, just to see how much time she had before she came down again. With a shock, she found she was able to actually jump to the other side of the room!

"Dude, yes!"

And since Mindy had dodged out of the way to run up the wall, Ruffnut slammed into said wall face first plowing a clean hole through the stone.

"I'm ok." She moaned from the rubble.

"Dunno," she admitted, trying to move her hair so that it wouldn't stand so much, to no avail. "This sorta breaks nearly every trick in the book, barring the naming scheme and the fact we both have to use it at the same time. So the only way to find out is to keep testing it."

SCIENCE.

She moved her hand again, looking at the sparks. "Uh if I had to give a guess, I'd say that apart from the fact I don't have a headache right now, I probably have the same skills that their doing, along with this whole lighting...fizzing...thing."

SCIENTIFIC NAMES! (Of science).

"There's so many things that would need to be tested! Like how it works in the first place, does it change my DNA sequence strands while I'm doing it, can I give people shocks right now and--"

It was right around this moment that Ruffnut slammed into the wall.

"---tee hee hee! Now that's what I call bringing the place down!"

See? Perfectly healthy.

"Damn it, she's not --" he began reflexively. Then he bit the sentence off awkwardly, glancing over at Lash. Uh...

Thank you for the distraction, Ruffnut. "Hey! If you're going to smash through walls, you're not allowed to sound like that afterwards! You say you're okay like you MEAN it, as you stride from the rubble, confidently flicking powdered wall off your shoulders!"

"She's not a demon yet, running through a wall is still going to hurt you dick!" Hit Girl said, rushing over to make sure that Ruffnut wasn't bleeding TOO badly. "What do you want, for her break her human body all at once? It has to be gradual!"

SHIT, didn't any of these fuckers watch martial arts movies? And she totally noticed that, Zetta, you;re just lucky she cared more about a broken Ruffnut first!

But just to spite Mindy...and more then likely due to the power bonus, Ruffnut came crawling out of the rubble shaking dirt and pebbles from her hair. Her eyes were crossed though.

"Oh cool...Mindy learned a duplication spell." She mumbled in a daze as six different Mindy's scowled at her with concern. She shook her head a few times to clear it and turned to admire the hole she'd made with a whistle.

"Aww come on, just give her some time to do that!" Lash could only recall that time she had crawled out after their robot fight. Seemed almost like forever ago...

(Also no Lash hadn't watched the martial arts movies unless someone had shown them to her.)

When Ruffnut came out from the rubble, she laughed. But then, the time was up, and the powers began to subside.

"Awww!" A pause. "Well that was much longer than normal and..."

The second Zetta's power wasn't flowing into her, her entire body felt bizarre, and that's when Lash got really sick, jumped off from the perch, and ran off somewhere a little farther away so no one could hear empty her stomach.

But hey! At least she didn't have a headache!

Zetta turned to follow Lash out of concern and promptly fell off the perch.

Onto Ruffnut's head.

"Damn!"

Sure, be all self dependent Ruffnut. When Overlord Zetta actually fell on your head, see how much she cared!

"Duh, it caught up with her," Mindy said. "It was still cool though.

There was a resounding "CLUNK!" and as Lash and Zetta's powerup had worn of...Ruffnut was knocked out cold. She hit the ground her tongue lolling out and a dopey look on her relaxed features.

Meanwhile, Lash was still over there, doing things that don't really need to be written out because they are pretty gross. She would be sad to have missed this spectacle later. Actually she would have rather seen it, since it would have meant she hadn't been sick.

Welp.

Zetta was humiliated, Ruffnut unconscious, Lash sick, and Mindy exasperated.

This is what love gave us.

So of course Mindy felt the least horrible about any of this: in fact, she was actually a little amused at the reactions everyone was having. Heh, morons. She already was draping Ruffnut over her back, and super glad the hooligan was so skinny.

"Well these guys will be better soon, and you, well, you'll get over it. You're a bad ass demon, right? I'm sure you've been through worse. And there are worse than things than having a fucking kick ass former villain scientist as a girlfriend."
