And of course the Waynes did have the resources to take advantage of political and social means of improvement. But her age alone was an obvious restriction on her. "But right, you have your own stand to make, regardless of where. That's the important thing."

"I know him, yes," Tim agreed, thinly. He wasn't all that surprised that Conner had been on her case, considering his similar values; even if they'd started to grow in different ways. But he nodded. But this isn't my world; we're in a war, and if we have the ability to return to our own worlds later, we'll be parting ways.
