While Tim had never ignored Snidley's willingness to sacrifice his own men, he had underestimated to what extent he was willing to go for that, or how much of a blatant disregard for lives, of allies and innocents alike, he possessed. And for that, he was cursing himself.
He saw the family in need of help, and even as he saw two other people moving into aid, Tim wasn't going to stand by without trying. He wasn't going to let anything happen to them.
"There's high ground not far from here," Tim shouted to the both of them, over the roar of the stampede. They seem to have the children covered, at least. Tim forced his way through, his staff at ready to press the animals back, moving to stand with the parents.
"Keep back," he warned. "Get with the children and follow the others to higher ground."
