"You guys," she growled amiably to the tiny creatures. "Y'ain't hidin' anythin' 'neath ya, li'l puffballs, are ya?"

Ellyn leaned in, hoping her presence would make them move. Not that she really had any idea as to what made them cluster like that. Still, they really were cute. Even she had to admit it. She didn't want to hurt them, just see if they were covering anything that might be more evidence.
