Although she only had a passing familiarity with renaissance faires, Elisa had a bit more experience with street entertainers. She'd seen plenty of them in New York. She had no trouble putting the pieces together when she overheard the banter that passed between the wench and the hapless audience member.

That explained the smirk on the face of the alien who had suggested the show to them. Making an escape now would only attract attention. They had to stay put and, if they were lucky, avoid the wenches.

... of course, trying to be inconspicuous was easier said than done when your companions were a dragon and a gargoyle.
