"We'll talk to them," she said, firmly now. "We'll explain to the parents that they shouldn't be allowing their children anywhere near pirates, and if the man tries anything then we'll do whatever we can to keep those children safe."
Daja shifted her staff in her grip. They'd faced tougher foes before - although she had to admit, she wished that Tris and Briar were with them too. They were always useful in a scuffle.
