Howard's eyes narrow a little. Harry's response is still calling Howard wrong, essentially saying Howard thinks the way he does because it's a symptom of some past experience, rather than because it's actually how the world works. But at least it's couched in Harry admitting such a cynical worldview is, given the circumstances, reasonable.
