If not just to avoid people who were going to have a fit at seeing a mummified remain, or who were going to accuse him of grave robbing, it was going to be so he could lock people out who thought calling him Doctor Jones was funny every time. Daniel threw the safety goggles onto a tray with a lot more force than was required.

"Yes, there's someone in here, and if you're going to keep up with the Indiana Jones jokes, the door's right behind you," Daniel called over his shoulder.
