Alanna nodded, grateful for the information. It gave her a better picture of the society that she'd become a part of rather suddenly. "I approve," she commented with a smile. "Titles might have their uses depending on the norms of that society, but unfortunately those with power and authority gifted to them by birth are often not those best suited to it and, in a war of any sort, it's particularly vital that those in charge be competent and experienced."
