Clark shrugged. "I just wanted to try and understand him, I guess. Understand why he did what he did. Not just back during the battle, but everything. And because I was a complete and total idiot and put off meeting him until it was too late, I have to do it this way."

He paused, looking at his hand and contemplating the thousands of different possibilities the strength beneath it held.

"I have all this power, and I still have no idea what I'm supposed to do with it. I'm just trying to figure out how he made his decision."
