Unfortunately, Jamie is oblivious to Cassie's surprise when the trowel is pulled out - although maybe it's for the best. Having him try and explain the Doctor's bigger-on-the-inside-than-on-the-outside gift could get a bit tricky, especially if he tries to do any explanation more complicated than, well, bigger on the inside.

"Och, it's nothing I can't handle," he replies, without a second thought. He's a bit stubborn when it comes to things like that sometimes. And even though after a few minutes of digging his hands start to get sore, he doggedly keeps at it until he's satisfied there's enough dirt to go around. Once he's through the packed stuff at the top, it does seem to go a little easier, at least.

"How are ye coming along with getting it spread out? I should be able to come help ye with that if ye like."
