The Master quickly stepped back another few feet as Howard fussed with Daniel, watching silently. Whether or not Howard suspected him, he could never prove it-- but it would be best to put as many suspicions to rest as possible with the Doctor nearby.

"I don't know," he said, his brow crinkling with false concern. "He just... dropped. Thank goodness you're here. I wasn't sure what to do."
