It didn't seem nearly as magnificent in terms of size compared to the tower, but it more than made up for it in the colorful decorations. Daniel gently touched one with a finger, the pressure barely there. Perfectly mirroring their own times of day, namely, a focus on sunset and twilight. Maybe they had a reverence for that time of day. It could be because they were fascinated by the stars or maybe something as simple as the change of temperature being more merciful. Maybe it was when they hunted.
Daniel followed along with Jamie, stopping now and then to inspect a set of decorations. It continued for a ways until the hallway opened into a room. "I don't either. We should be careful though." Rooms with only one way in weren't always a safe bet. He didn't see what the point was to trapping a room this far out of the way, but you really also couldn't speak for these people or begin to guess.
He tried to look down the hallway, the flashlight barely touching whatever that thing was. "How familiar are you moving through potentially trapped ruins?"
Probably not very, which meant Daniel was going to have to go first.
