Contact [Bendy timed to 3 or 4 days after Lirath]
In the aftermath of the battle at Lirath, Stacy had been severely damaged. Though she still eventually managed to build up enough power to resume course, she was obviously struggling, her pace far slower than normal. She could barely even manage to directly address those who needed to speak with her, instead allowing the more monotone voice of the Warden to speak up wherever she couldn't.
Several days after the battle, however, she once again stopped course suddenly and without warning, and let out a message throughout the ship.
||Notice to all crew members, Daligig Vessel Horizon is approaching. Archon Yavek is requesting to board so repairs can begin on this vessel. Please report to the Obs deck to recieve Daligig personnel and begin briefing. I repeat, notice to all crew members...||
Those going to the Obs Deck to check out the commotion would see the Horizon just out the observation window. It was massive, nearly half as long as Stacy, and likely had enough room for over a million crew members. The ship was colored a brilliantly bright white, with sleek, smooth lines, making the ships the GIA had that the crew had seen in the battle at Lirath seem like ancient relics.
Not long after the crew had arrived at the Obs Deck, bright, crackling lights began to appear towards the far end of the room as figures began teleporting in.
The first to appear were...not the Daligig. Instead, the first figures to arrive were massive, 9-ft tall reptilian soldiers, each decked in thick armor carrying equally massive battle rifles. At their fore stood one of them wearing lighter armor, carrying a tall metallic staff. He appeared older than the other reptillians, and wore a red sash that seemed to mark him of higher rank than the others. He raised the comm unit on his wrist to speak into it.
"Situation green, Archon. It is safe come over."
At that point, more figures began teleporting over, much smaller than the reptilian soldiers that came before. In fact, they were even somewhat shorter than normal humans, the tallest among them barely six feet tall. These were the Daligig, strange looking and varied in appearance. Each of them had devices on their arms, apparently small but powerful micro computers, each with different colors denoting the rank of the wearer. At their side were numerous tiny beings, each barely 4 feet tall, who almost immediately fanned out, obsessively observing and picking at Stacy's techno-organic structure.
Suddenly, one of the Daligig, wearing a dark blue arm unit, stepped forward with a rather grim, serious expression on his face. This, apparently was Archon Yavek.
"Who is in charge here?" he demanded bluntly.
[ooc: Meant to get this up a week ago, but school got the better of me, so sorry, guys! First thread that I put up will be the main expositionary thread, but feel free to make more threads for you characters to react, talk to each other, or try and talk to the Daligig and their companions. Basic info on the Daligig can be found over here.]

"Looks like the captain went over like a led balloon with your boss," he commented, a small smile tugging at his lips before he continued.
"It's mostly about the things we've found on the ship--that I've found. First. . .zombies. Multiple types that got free and ended up killing several thousand people from the pods. Second, we found these creatures called Reavers locked up below the city." He kept his gaze locked on his hers, voice firm, even a little grim.
"Those I know you'll explain as potential weapons against the Ohm. At least that's my hunch. I mean, after all, fight fire with fire, right?" His tone of voice indicated that he couldn't disagree more with that statement.
"But then there's the Yeerks. Who are anything but a good weapon. Who are a danger to themselves, to the people aboard the ship, to people off the ship. Why keep them around? A race known to hostile and expansive."

"But from what we've seen, these crews occasionally became...overzealous. They tried too much, stretched themselves too far, and picked up things they couldn't control. It is unfortunate, but these things can't be changed."

"In any case, assuming that you really are ignorant of why these creatures were on board, why should we listen to you? You apparently don't know anymore than we do about these things and all we have is your word to go on--the word of the people who were using a prison ship to keep their experimental subjects in line."

She pointed to the tall, lighter armored Kessek warrior that carried the tall battlestaff.
"Force Commander Hukkar over there is stronger than anyone on your crew. Backed by over a million Kessek from back on board the Horizon, they could subdue your entire crew if need be. I don't think anyone wants that."
"Like I told your captain, I can keep Yavek off your backs for the most part, but only if your crew behaves."
no subject
"And you pretty much avoided giving me a real answer. That seems to be par for the course with you guys, though. You're sure you don't want to answer any of my questions? Sorry. Can't. As far as I've seen, the only thing you guys have going for you is strength, so we're all forced to play along." Jaim clearly wasn't impressed with her threat.
"Plus, if they're so powerful, why do you need us?"
no subject
"If you want to play the spoiled brat, go ahead," she replied. "I'm sorry about your situation, but there are bigger things at stake. I'm giving you what I can, but really, look at your situation. Your reality is gone. There is nothing left for you."
"But we believe we can find a way to restore your worlds, but only if you can succeed. So I suggest you at least try to play nice."
no subject
"I'm still confused as to why you're putting this on us, especially since you just emphasized how weak we are." He crossed his arms.
"And I wasn't aware that wanting information was being a brat. But then again, you're the ones playing the mysterious puppet masters so I assume it's in the rule book that comes along with that role, right? I just want to know as much as possible about what's happened on board and why. And so far you guys have failed to deliver anything useful on that front. In fact, you've been downright evasive. And threatening people isn't really the way to get them to like working with you, just a small suggestion."
no subject
"And you are a brat because you immediately assume the worst as soon as you don't get your own way. I'm the bad guy, because I can't answer all your questions? I suppose you've never served in the military, then. There are things I can and cannot do. I am doing what I can for you."
"But honestly, there's a limit. The Transmigration project is sensitive. You're not just here to fight the Ohm, you're here to restore the balance to those worlds that are feeling the shock waves, the aftermath of the realities destroyed by the Ohm. That's what your 'missions' are, when you're not fighting the Ohm."
"So as you can see, it's pretty damn important you don't screw it up. And as such, High Command has put a lot of pressure on those of us involved in it. There is only so much that you want me to do that I can help you with."
no subject
"Thing is, you guys haven't done much to instill confidence in the crew, myself included. You've been here, directing the war, so you claim. And yet, you guys were either incompetent or stupid enough not to put reliable people in charge of your pet science project, that is, us. And then you didn't have a way to keep proper tabs on what they were doing or bother to ensure that they were performing ethically. So why should we listen to you? Aside from the whole 'we have lots of thugs' thing?"
"I mean, honestly, I'm not asking much. I just want to know what you guys are doing by loading a refugee ship with dangerous beings who would want to do harm to the others on board. I want to know why it is that we're so weak you can subdue us, but powerful enough to help win the war. I've dealt with other people who claimed they were there to help. People who actually had their own very selfish, very immoral agenda. So what I'm really asking for is a real reason to trust you guys. Can you actually give me one?"
no subject
"When the ship lets you out, she calls you Chosen, doesn't she? It's more than just a title. You're here not because you're strong, but because your very presence allows you to change the course of fate. You can affect those worlds that are becoming destabilized, and restore the balance. Unless this is done, the very fabric of reality could be destroyed."
"So as you can see, this is all pretty damn important. High Command didn't want to waste any expense in fighting this. Apparently they've made some mistakes along the way, and some poor choices were made."
"But at this point, all we can do is try and save what we can of the project and move on. I can't speak for any of the Daligig who made the decisions to bring those things aboard, but all of us do want this war to end, and to finish things before they get worse."
"So yes, it's a bad situation, but we have to make of it what we can. You can either cooperate, or get out of the way."
no subject
"You're very good at saying a lot and yet managing not to give me any new information." The reason they had her speaking to the crew, no doubt.
"Enjoy your stay on Stacy." He turned to head off, having learned very little other than that the Dalgig reminded him very much of the Reach.

As he left, she quickly tapped out a quick note on her arm-unit. This one seemed like he could be trouble.
