(no subject)

The foothills of the Khur mountains were covered by long, slightly sticky, brownish-green grass that made annoying clicking noises when the wind blew through them. That clicking noise, however, was completely covered up by the sounds of battle, as Kang faced off against a group of goblins. He turned sideways to dodge a sword with a jagged, rusty blade, and swung his battle-axe, burying it in the goblin's chest. He wasted no time in yanking it out and spinning around to cleanly behead another one that had come up behind him.

He hadn't consciously thought this particular, familiar, location up; he'd just wanted to blow off some steam. He'd had a lot on his mind since the battle had ended.

Most of that was Crucible.

Why had the bronze saved his daughter, and even let her ride on his back in battle? It made no sense to the bozak. Bronzes, like the other metallics, killed his kind.

Growling, he swung again, muttering a curse when his axe blade deflected off of the third goblin's crappy armor and swiftly bringing it back up to parry its spear. Then, he ducked and spun his tail around to knock his foe's feet from underneath him; it was dead from disembowelment before it even had a chance to get back up.

He continued without pause until all eight were corpses, and took a step back, panting from the exertion.

Nehaalista had watched Kang for some time. Though her initial reason had been to see him over some Council business, when she saw just what he was exerting himself over, the paladin thought better of it. Everyone had needed a way to release steam, and Kang was no different.

Quietly, she approached, and tested the body of one dead goblin (so similar to the ones in Azeroth) with a hoof. [What troubles you?]

Sonic had idly decided to use this time to get back some training with using Caliburn, left pretty much idle since that Marriage Planet business. However, his choice of Sensoriums to train with were left lacking and he found himself checking out the scenes of carnage. He let out a low whistle before speaking up.

"Sounds like someone's not in a happy mood." he said, off-handedly. Kang had an axe at the moment. By the looks of it, coming in like he was would get his head cut off, so he stayed on his guard, sword at the ready.

"Don't have to tell me twice. At least you didn't go play with GLaDOS after all that 'fun'" Sonic said, letting out a shrug and relaxing his guard.

Kang was not the only one who had a good deal on his mind, even after the battle had concluded, he himself couldn't stop dwelling on what had happened during the battle, he had allowed a draconian to ride upon his back, fight along side him. Would he repeat the act were it to have happened again? He didn't doubt it, though it was still food for thought, as well as the the council matters that intruded on his thoughts, especially after the loss of one of their own.

Bight watched Kang silently for a while, he knew well what likely troubled the draconian, indeed, he himself was the source. Nevertheless the Dragon lord stepped forward as Kang dispatched the final Goblin, "Kang, it is good to see not even a battle such as the one past could keep you down,"

"Don't get your hopes up." Sonic said, hopping onto a big rock as Kang made the bodies disappear. "One of these days..."

The hedgehog could see that something was bothering him, though. "...something up? Sounds like something big happened there. Well, besides... y'know."

Sonic noticed the reaction he got. He's poked dragons before. Just not ones that talked and could split his head open if he wasn't careful.

"Okay, backing off. Easy there, Scales!" Sonic said, trying to calm the draconian down.

"Indeed, and one of many more to come I have little doubt," Bight replied as he let his gaze drift to the goblins before returning to Kang, a slightly more somber look on his features "How is Kali fairing?" His tone making it clear he knew of what had happened, though not hinting at what he thought of it.

"Okay, whatever floats your boat." Sonic said, shrugging before putting Caliburn aside. "Name's Sonic. I'm with Skull Squadron."

"Quite so," He replied easily as he watched on as Kang rid the sensorium of the goblins, "Of that I am glad to hear," and he was, after all, if she had been injured while fighting alongside him, let alone what must be going through her head as to what had happened.

He would have been surprised if Kang had. As it was he turned his gaze to the scenery that had been summoned up, the Khur mountains if he recalled correctly.

"Only minor burns and cuts for the most part, nothing that took too long to heal. Indeed, but one of the simpler threats to Sanction," He commented with the hint of a wry smile as if the Volcano's themselves were but another simple annoyance in a long line, not resisting the change in topic at the least, "perhaps soon we shall get that chance, Kang, my magic alongside your skill at arms such would be the least I could do, after all, you did help save my city. Even if you haven't just yet,"

"This looks familiar," Aibghalien commented from a vantage point across the hills. The wizard wasn't flying, for once; he simply sat on the curved earth leisurely, legs drawn up and arms folded over his knees. Even he could take a lazy posture, after all. "In some ways your land quite resembles mine, clearly."

[I say the same of you, Kang. The cold did no lasting damage to you, then?] she smiled, [And you did not answer my question.]

[I know there have been a few dragons, but I do not tend to delve into their origins.] Light knew how many times she'd had to explain the Draenei were not, in fact, some sort of religion's demons. [Is that what this is about?] She knew he'd been distracted by the dragon on the field, when it had snatched up his daughter.

She wondered if an orc snatched up Vaals, if her reaction would be the same.
