"I'm not afraid," Jamie said defiantly, mouth pulling off to one side as he fixed Ter'thelas with a slightly narrow-eyed look. He wasn't, but he was definitely getting a bad feeling about the situation. And he knew Victoria was frightened - too frightened to even scream, apparently. While much easier on his eardrums, that fact she was that scared only helped strengthen his determination to get out of there as soon as possible.
