The Scot - not getting the reference - gave River a rather baffled look in reply. "Who's Indiana Jones?" This likely wouldn't help his case with River, but even if he had been aware of her rather uncharitable thoughts at the moment he wouldn't give it much thought, given the situation. Besides, the rest of it he understood. There wasn't much of a choice, barring someone coming along with a rope or some wee flying device he could hang on to. He nodded, although he still looked distinctly nervous at the prospect. "A-aye. I will."

Nothing to do for it but run, and he sprinted for the edge as the stressed metal groaned and started to detach from the supports. He was almost there when the walkway gave out under his feet, and the Scot jumped in an effort to clear the last space between the catwalk and where River was standing.

There was a fleeting moment where he thought he really should have morphed first before he found himself clinging onto the edge of the platform in a way that was all too familiar. "Och, not again."

It could be worse, he supposed. He had a decent enough grip, and this time it wasn't slippery. Now, if he could just reach that protrusion with his foot there...
