Kaya wasn't one to try and underestimate the customs Nokosi had, especially if they might mean that it would make things awkward for the both of them. She cared very much for him once she actually admitted it to herself.

"Well, thanks," she said, looking a little embarrassed with herself. "But I wouldn't compare you to Matt or vice versa. You're both very different people, and you both mean something different to me. You don't have to worry about me comparing the two of you, believe me."

There was no hiding the smile on her face. "I feel the same way, if this had resulted in nothing. When I'm with you, all of my problems seem to just fade, and instead I just like talking and laughing with you. It was small at first, but the longer I spent time with you, the more I was beginning to understand that's what I was feeling. Today...well, today I'm honest with myself, and you."
