...And here came the last of the four figures: smaller than the three but no less volatile or nimble. The very fact that she was perched on the crow's nest pretty precariously let others know she didn't mind a little danger. What was more, she was doing this for a reason: in her hand was the artifact that she normally used as a weapon. It looked dangerous enough, and when she seemed to be firing a warning shot in the air, it was bound to turn several very astonished heads.

But as it turned out, even Hit Girl was full of surprises. Instead of gunpowder of cannon, the place seemed to be alight with bursts of firecrackers from out of nowhere: the way they fizzled and ascended higher and higher and even danced at one point, there was no doubt that this could only come from magic. One of the biggest erupted with a facsimile of the Overlord himself, in demon form, and then a finger doing a rude gesture in the air. That particular firework, however, seemed to explode , and what came down, strangely enough, was hail, small pellets of ice, enough not to hurt but to at least leave people stunned.
