The Carousel Boutique [Open]

Rarity stood in the simulation of The Carousel Boutique, recalling the colours and atmosphere of the place. A hologram of Opalescence was sitting on the table, swishing its tail and looking at Rarity.

"Do you think this gem would do, Opalescence?" She levitated a red gem and the cat blinked. "Or this one?" Rarity asked, levitating a blue one. The feline mewed and stretched.

The unicorn smiled and continued to play-work with the pony outfit she was currently pre-occupied with.

"This is The Carousel Boutique, a clothes shop I set up back home." Opalescence rubbed up against her leg. "And this is Opalescence, my cat." She scratched behind the white cat's ears.

"This is so much cuter than anything I've ever seen back home."

Megan grinned, crouching to pet the cat gently.

"I didn't know ponies wore clothes." she told Rarity, an earnest curiosity in her tone. "Is it complicated to make pony-dresses?"

Opal purred and nuzzled Megan's hand, licking it a bit.

"We usually do not wear clothes but we don them for special occasions." Rarity continued to adjust the gems on the dress. "It is not complicated as I've been a pony all my life. Human designs were a little difficult to comprehend but I'm getting the hang of it."

"That's kind of what I do too!" Megan told her with an enthusiastic grin.

"I usually just shapeshift my clothes but sometimes I had real things to wear if it was a special day back home. I think all the clothes I physically owned might have been dresses come to think of it."

"Fascinating! That means you don't really have to buy clothes at all. It is a wonderful gift!" Rarity looked at Megan and bounded up to her. "You must allow me to make you a dress for space prom, I insist!"

Megan blinked wide, a little surprised. She hadn't really been thinking of going to space prom at all but if Rarity really wanted to make her a dress...

"Are you sure? That would be awfully nice of you."

Rarity nodded. "I am very sure. Everyone deserves something nice to wear." She was on the verge of levitating her sketch pad and the measuring tape.
