He took the stairs up two at a time, careful to check the hall for any guards. So far, so good. They actually make it all the way to the storage room with all the medicines without incident. At which point Zouichi figured Howard would be more at home figuring out which bottles to shove into his pockets.

"You want to get your thievery on? I'll keep a look out for anyone coming this way."

They hadn't encountered any more guards yet, so for the moment, they seemed to have eluded their pursuers.
