It's the only way to be sure [Open]
So many people had recommended the Media Library to Soren that it ended up being one of the first locations on-ship that he paid a visit to. As promised, there was plenty of information to be found in convenient, electronic format.
Convenient for everyone who wasn't essentially from a medieval time period and thus had no framework for understanding computers, let along databases.
Losing patience, Soren began mashing the controls on some kind of instrument panel, and was rewarded with a moving picture featuring humans being menaced by floating tin plates, a woman singing about less-than-optimal romantic encounters, and some sort of storybook featuring a blue-skinned 'space explorer' and his evil nemesis (both with rather improbable hair).
"Infernal machine," he hissed, hitting the table with one small, bony magefist. "I'll show you a bad romance."
As far as he was concerned, the future should be destroyed. With fire.

With her netherworld gone, though, that was an impossible thing to do, no matter how strong she was. If it weren't for bad timing on whoever had tried to summon her into their world, her netherworld and the other world she was supposed to appear in may not have been destroyed.
"Stupid bad timing..." She mumbled.

Because he was pretty sure no one was going to do that here.

Soren didn't have any such compunctions about showing his displeasure. Complaining was fun for all ages!

"Hmph. No way I'm eating something disgusting like that." At least to figure out a way to get some of her servants back to make things easier around the place, otherwise she would be the one whining and complaining later. "I suppose I'll have to move quickly then."
Food and finding a way to bring back, even temporarily, her servants to do her bidding was more important than getting more useful information about what other kinds of people were aboard this ship...
Who said overlords were all smarter than normal demons?

"Move quickly? Can't you simply conjure up something to eat and drink?"
I am so sorry for such a late tag orz
"I can! In normal circumstances..." She snapped in reply. "This ship's a little weird, they did something to me while I was stuck in those gross pods and I can't...use my magic well... yet! I just need to get used to this place and I can conjure whatever I want!"
no problem :)
He'd offer, but he wasn't actually that helpful. Besides, he didn't know much about demon magic. He was an Archsage!

"I'm sure whatever that's messing with my mana power will wear off." She replied as she waved her hand, as if to brush the topic away. "Anyways, enough about me. What exactly were you searching for before you got frustrated with stupid music?"
no subject
"Don't exist. And if we're going to be winning a war, I'd like to know a little more about the technology we'll be using to do so."
no subject
Or a device that would let the user skip all the way to the boss's room."It's only a matter of pressing the right combination of buttons." She replied as she looked down at the commands. "There's always a 'tutorial,' or a 'help' option for almost everything."
She wasn't going to start pressing on the buttons for the other, though. She wasn't that nice.

Since it wasn't blaring music any more, he was perfectly content just leaving the open files there for someone else to deal with.
Stupid piece of junk.

She glanced over at the device before inputting the command to replay the song. It was probably on purpose...
"Woops! Teehee."

"Well, if you'll excuse me," Soren said, gathering up his books, "I do believe I should be going."
no subject
"Oh really? What a shame." She said with a small frown. "And I was just getting comfortable talking to you, too."
She wasn't going to stop the other, though. She turned to the device and started pressing a few commands to try out what sort of information she could find while she let the obnoxious music blast away.
