"That's why I mentioned it," Stephen said, embarrassed. "I know I'd be rather irate if someone stole all the books from Doissetep, which was a place from my world. I figured I'd take the heat if you got angry at me for even considering it."

He gave a weak chuckle at that, then quirked a brow again.

"What are you thinking of? Besides people to help you clean up here? I know that look," he said.

Stephen had probably had that idea stricken look himself, often enough.
