Party Down! [Open]
Paco hopped up on a box to survey the work already done.
It was getting toward “evening” in the City. They’d hung a sheet up on the Great Wall, and a couple people were currently adjusting the movie projector that had been constructed in Engineering so that the picture would fall exactly on the sheet. He’d collected the recordings from the Media Library himself, everything on there was appropriate for pretty much everyone who might show up.
At the other end of the space he’d picked for the party, a few people were testing the sound system (also constructed in Engineering) and arguing with each other, probably about the music. Well, he’d done his best, anyone who didn’t like it could throw their own dance party somewhere else.
In the middle, up against the outer wall of a building they’d hung lights from, Kang and his helpers were putting the finishing touches on the drinks area. And there was plenty of space for people to mingle or play tag or whatever if the shows and music weren’t to their taste.
Paco grinned and cupped his hands around his mouth to form a megaphone.
“OKAY EVERYONE,” he shouted. “TRY NOT TO DO ANYTHING THAT WILL LOSE US OUR PARTY PRIVILEGES AND LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!”

He raised his eyebrows, looking both curious and impressed. "You know a spell for that? Really?"
no subject
"Yes. It's the same spell I use for most ailments. A short casting heals the headaches and illness from poison, even if it's taken intentionally."

Unless they're Sir Auron of course. But he had immunity to that kind of thing.

Either way, a term like that made Yuna sound pretty high-class. Or important in some way. Though Jr. was used to meeting people like that, so his question didn't sound exceedingly awestruck, just curious.

She missed them terribly and prayed for their safety every night, but she didn't really see it as a necessity. She wasn't classy, just getting into danger.
no subject
Jr.'s initial thought, awesome monsters or something. A stark contrast to the only thing he was able to do something like that with.

Yuna shrugged, as if it was an everyday thing. Well, it was. Mostly. She wouldn't talk about the darker implications, though.

He looked around at the others. "Are they big? 'Cause I'd show you the kind of thing I can summon, but that's prooooobably not the best idea with all these people around."
no subject
No, that was too cruel. She couldn't do that! "They're big enough to catch and rescue us. It's helped more than once."

Yuna nodded to herself. Yes, another training session was necessary. That last battle had nearly destroyed her, and that was unacceptable.

If the presentation was as cool as it sounded, Jr. was already excited. One thing that hadn't gotten old for him yet was learning about and seeing all of the different things people could do. "What kind of practice do you guys usually do?"
no subject
It isn't the type of battle Jr.'s used to, but it's something at least.

That was how she'd heard it described, but she had to know. It sounded fantastic, almost unreal.
no subject
Of course, Jr. hadn't really tried to go all out on the fun himself just yet. But he'd get there, eventually.
no subject
"Maybe...we can do something fun after the training? Is there something you'd like to do?"
no subject
"It'll be your first time trying it out, won't it? I'll let you surprise me."
no subject
Yuna really hoped he'd enjoy this. What she had in mind was...a little unusual.
