She could hit him with Sturm Falke, but after all the magic she's already used today, that would more or less wipe her out, to say nothing of her inability to make more Cartridges. Another Barrier would only focus his attention on her more.
She thinks further. If she heads toward a more populated area, maybe he'll give up on damaging her, or revert to human form to avert collateral damage. Normally, Signum would refuse to gamble with the actual lives of innocents (partly for moral reasons, but mostly for the practical purpose of avoiding being executes when she's eventually caught and leaving Hayate alone.) However, this was clearly a reasonable, thinking opponent, and he struck her as an honorable sort. Probably more honorable than her, these days.
