Caught off guard by her evasion, Zedd takes the left hook head on, causing him to stagger in pain. Trying to refocus, he brings his staff up to block her sword slash, the two locked in a struggle to either tear through the staff and into Zedd himself.

"If... if you think...!" Zedd growled, pulling away the staff and intending on ramming the head of his staff into her stomach, not noticing the crack through the middle of the staff.
