Sunday in the park [Open]

It was a little easier living on the ship after spending at least a month in full upon it. It also helped that she knew Peter was nearby, in case something happened. Not that the ol' girl couldn't take care of herself. It just helped soothe the nerves to know that her only friendly neighborhood Spider-Man was close by in case she got into whatever kind of situation she could get caught in on Stacy.

But what also helped things was the City. It wasn't New York, and it wasn't in the best of shape, but it had its sentimental merits. Mary Jane spent most of her mornings jogging through the streets to keep up her exercise regime, and her afternoons perhaps sitting in the park, writing in her journal her experiences aboard the ship.

And right now, that was where Mary Jane was. She was in the park, sitting on her favorite bench, sketching out a playground in her journal. She had lately started to think that, perhaps with the amount of children aboard the ship, that a playground should be built for their use. Not to mention the park could use some management and flowers...

Patsy Walker was all kinds of happy just then. Not that anyone could blame her. After a long, weird game of flirt-and-seek with Daimon, they had finally gotten together.

At least on a physical level.

Although, Daimon had told Patsy in no uncertain terms that he also cared very deeply for her, in a romantic sort of way. And she highly doubted that that was the sort of thing that Daimon would say to get into a girl's plantpants. After all, he was a good man, despite being Satan's son.

So, Patsy was in the park, enjoying the whatever-kind-of-air it was that they got on the meatship.

It was there that she ran into Mary Jane, drawing.

"Hi," she said, coming up to the pretty redhead. Redheads, in Patsy's book, were always awesome. Probably because she was on herself. "What are you drawing?"

Patsy didn't know Mary Jane, but the woman seemed to be nice enough. Patsy had never equated artistry with bad people in her mind.

"No, and its a darn shame. It seems like there are so many more back home in New York." She holds out her hand to Mary Jane. "I'm Patsy, by the way. Patsy Walker."

"By way of a little place called Centerville, yes," Patsy chuckled. "It's a pleasure, MJ. Really. There aren't enough girls from our neck of the alternate realities here." She didn't know how right she was on that end, either.

If Patsy's grin had been big at hearing that Mary Jane was from New York, it was even wider now that she'd heard the words "X-Men" and "Avengers."

Except for the part about Tony Stark.

"What does Tony Stark have to do with the Avengers?" There was confusion on Patsy's face in regards to that.

Patsy's eyes grew wide. "Tony Stark is Iron Man?!" That, she didn't know. Where Patsy was from, she hadn't even been made a Defender yet. She'd pretty much just recently come into her powers and the Hellcat identity. "I didn't...I mean, I'm friends with some of the Avengers - like Beast - but I didn't ever know..."

"Um." Patsy looked around before leaning in closer to Mary Jane. She wasn't sure why she did that, really. It's not like she kept her identity a secret here. "I'm Hellcat." She blinked. "Except, pre-Defenders and stuff, from what Daimon tells me." She tilts her head. "You're seriously from like twenty minutes into the future, then."

Patsy's eyes grew wide as she was pulled into the hug. "We know each other?!" She still hugged MJ back regardless. "I mean, not that I'm complaining, mind you, but I just wasn't aware..." She pulled away. "And he is. Literally. Except he doesn't pee fire the way that people says he does."

A loud crack and a yelp might catch her attention as a child fell from one of the trees and landed with a heavy thud.

Maybe a playground wouldn't be such a bad idea at all.

Sandy had at some point turned to stone during the fall and shifted back once she realized someone was helping her, "I think so?" She asked more then answered and checked herself out from top to bottom. She reached up to the back of her head and winced pulling away a small rock, her fingers and the tip marked with blood. The rock looked chipped though. She must have landed on it while her head was made of stone.

"Thought that branch looked stronger." She noted with dismay at the now broken branch.

Having spent so much time in the Sensoriums and media library, for the most part it's taken months for Eva to really get it through her head that there's an entire city to explore outside those areas. It's so easy to get lost in all the smaller adventures, either through memory and imagination or though art and literature.

She sees a face that might be familiar on a park bench, and decides on stopping by and saying hello. "You're one of the people who signed up for book club, right?" she asks as she approaches.

Patsy chuckled. "He's...so very not. His nostrils, like, start to flare the faintest bit whenever it's brought up. I plan to do so whenever I can, just to catch him off-guard."

"The one and only. At least, as far as the ship goes. And if I was looking at the right spot on the omnicomm, I'd take it you're Mary Jane?" She leans to see the journal. "What're you drawing?"

Sandy winced gently as the cut was touched, "Seemed like the thing to do?" She remarked sheepishly now looking at the broken branch. "Guess not."

Patsy grinned. She couldn't help it. She didn't know MJ the way that MJ knew her, but Patsy couldn't help but instinctively like this woman.

"I guess so?"
