It was actually a surprisingly firm grip for someone so scrawny, and his hands had more callouses than any hands had a right to have, but that was what happened when you spent most of your formative years in a forge.

"I have no idea what those are, but I'm assuming that was a joke related to club...things, so pretend I got it and laughed a little," he said amicably, adjusting the satchel. It was rather heavy and he was rather weedy.

"The name's Hiccup. And yes, I'm named after a bodily function--it's just a thing where I'm from. Hideous names are supposed to scare off gnomes and trolls."
