Asuka flipped her hair over one shoulder - she never gave up a chance to brag. "I was chosen, at a very young age. I was going to be one of the best! It was going to be my job to save the world!"

She grinned widely, settling her hands on her hips. "And I was one of the best! I graduated from college at age fourteen! My Eva unit was the first combat-purpose one built!"

Her expression turned sour, "Then I ended up here and now I fly X-Wings. They're different, but I'm still good at it."
