Anwei was looking rather dubiously at an office building. She could just make out the directory through the shattered front door, and it said there was a dentist's office on the third floor. But there wasn't anything to the building after the sixth floor; it looked like someone had sheered it off and thrown it away. Did that mean the foundation was bad, or was the sheering part of whatever had moved this building from Earth to - here, wherever here was?

She barely noticed the blue streak moving towards her, but jumped at the whipcrack of wind at her back.
