Meet N' Greet

Part of the crew might be gone, but life on the ship goes on. In fact, new people have woken up and, eventually, they've been spat out into the mess hall.

Maybe it's better to introduce them to some of the worst aspects of ship life first, right?

Anyway, the word is out that there's new people, and someone should probably go say hello. Before the n00bs mistake the glop for crew.

"Whoa there buddy, no one said anything about a date or hanging out or anything." She arches a brow, though she's clearly amused by this Dave Lister.

She thinks over what he said though and shrugs a shoulder. "Maybe... But don't go thinkin' it's something other than hanging out." She so remembers how he was staring at the females onboard....

Lister is all gerbil-faced innocence. "The thought never crossed my mind! Hanging out it is."

The thought didn't so much cross his mind as arrive, and take up residence, and refuse to be evicted.

"Alriiiiiight, just so we're clear." Jo really would hate to have to introduce Lister's backside to her size 6 shoe. OK, she wouldn't really hate it, but yeah.

"So... Any more questions?"

Lister would probably hate it just as much as Jo would, so he's trying to avoid it at all costs.

Lister takes a moment to ponder. "Any rules out wandering around and exploring? Apart from that, I think I'm good."

"Well I wouldn't say there are rules really... But there are areas that are locked off. Stacy's pretty good at letting us know we're not suppose to be somewhere - so don't worry about it."

Sha pauses, trying to think of all the areas that are locked off. She starts ticking off areas using her fingers. "Crew quarters - seriously, I'm not joking. Umm... The Spacewalk, the commande deck and... And I'm not sure what else, but like I said, Stacy'll remind you."

"Smeg, not more tentacles?" Lister asks. "Tentacles are Not Cool."

"Oh if you don't like tentacles, it would be a good idea not to attack anyone. Stacy likes to b!tch slap people around for that." She'd seen it happen, it wasn't pretty.

"No hitting, gotcha."

Lister doesn't want to encounter tentacles again, so that's an extra reason not to be violent. Not that he would be violent in the first place, but nevertheless, violence is bad.

"Think I might go and mosey about the place, find somewhere to crash. Care to join me?"

Jo scratched the back of her head thinking. "Well I think there's normally some sort of meeting or something for the new peoples..."

She shrugs, "Maybe you should try that? Maybe someone there knows a good place for you to crash..." she suggests.

"Brutal," is Lister's response. "I'll see you around then?" and it's a question. They still need to arrange their date hanging out thing.

"Of course," Jo says with a firm nod of her head. It wasn't like she was going to be getting off the ship anytime soon. "Like I said, I normally hang out in the Sensorioums doing shooting practice and stuff like that. So, if you can't find me, that's the best place to look."

"Catch you round then," and with a cheeky smirk, Lister is off, deciding to risk life and limb by actually trying to eat the glop. It's not curry, but he's hungry.
