"I deserve the blame more than anybody else," he argued. "The people who knew-- they've spent a whole year since I woke up fighting this stupid virus, and it's not their fault I couldn't keep control of it."
He sighed with frustration. "God, I wish everybody would just mind their own goddamn business about it. But that's too much to ask for around here, isn't it?"
There was a long pause as he huffed and got a little better handle on his emotions.
