It's.... It's several Gundams?! [OPEN]

Setsuna didn't stay long at the Meet n' Greet. He mostly milled about in the background, listening to a handful of conversations here and there. He wasn't sure what to make of the whole spiel about worlds having been destroyed, but he'd discover the truth about that in time. He had more important things to worry about.

Eventually, he managed to pick up several key words, being "Hangar" and "Suits", and he figured he'd find his Gundam there, or some clue about where they took it.

He rushed there, finding it open for anyone to access. He wandered through, looking around at the various vehicles, planes, and craft. He eventually spotted something that made his jaw drop, though.

Exia was there, fully repaired, but lacking a GN drive to power it. Not surprising, considering that the 00 Gundam was right next to it (which contained both Exia's and 0 Gundam's GN Drives), complete with the 0-Raiser already docked to it. But what was shocking was the number of similar yet different mobile suits surrounding both of his.

"...other... Gundams?"

For someone who practically worshiped his mobile suit, and knew there were only a mere handful even remotely like it, this was definitely a shock. Though, upon a slightly closer inspection, he noticed that none of the others had GN Drives of their own. Were these true Gundams from other worlds? Or were those mere knock offs of his own?

"How is this possible?"

Multiple Gundams was one thing. Multiple unfamiliar Gundams was something else entirely. Duo's brow furrowed at the lineup of multiple multiple Gundams, all of them completely unfamiliar. The idea of so many of them worried him- all that came to mind was the thought of endless battles.

Luckily, Duo was able to spot Deathscythe Hell completely unharmed towards the back of the hangar, and his expression brightened considerably. "Buddy!!" he grinned, rushing towards the back of the hangar-- only to spot Setsuna on his way past, which made Duo skid to a stop in his tracks.

"...No way." Duo's jaw dropped, too- but not quite for the same reason.

"You're a--!?"

[identity profile] hellraiser02.livejournal.com 2010-10-02 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm gettin' my Gundam."

Duo's face darkened considerably, the chirpiness all but gone from him though the sarcastic- now dangerous glint in his eyes remained.

He didn't recognize any of these other suits- so the options he could immediately think of were only bad ones. The idea of multiple worlds hadn't even occurred to him yet.

"Which one's yours?"

[identity profile] hellraiser02.livejournal.com 2010-10-03 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, it's a bit of a story altogether- but this crazy old geezer made it and gave it to me. In a nutshell." His eyes darted to the other Gundams, noting their designs, their visible weaponry- shit, these things were stacked. So much for demilitarization. More like a disaster waiting to happen- not that any mobile suit existing didn't, but lesser evils were always preferable.

Duo's mouth twitched and head bowed slightly. Through his bangs, his eyes smiled.

"I don't work for anyone. I'm the God of Death."

[identity profile] hellraiser02.livejournal.com 2010-10-03 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Duo snorted. "I didn't say God, His time ran out with me long ago. Shinigami is different." The bitterness for both of them was clear enough, though Duo couldn't say he'd entirely let go of his own connections to the Big Man up there. For their sake.

"Now, why should I tell you that? Doesn't matter, he's dead. As for what I intend to do with it, same as I always have. Make sure they don't gotta exist anymore."

"Peace. Duh." He gave a smirking shrug.

Kira had headed down into the hangar once he'd heard the news of a pod release - not only to make sure that everything would be all right (especially during rumors of an outbreak) - but to see if there were any new mobile suits that appeared... any he recognized.

Sure enough, there were some new figures standing tall in the hangar, but none of them looked familiar beyond the general mobile suit form. Interestingly enough, they were already in full color, as if their Phase Shift armor had been activated - or did they just not have it?

He decided to run some diagnostics on the Strike Freedom while he waited... and before too long there was another figure down in the hangar who seemed to be gaping at Kira's Gundam. The young pilot leaned out of the cockpit, calling down, "Hello! ...ah, are you looking for something?"

It didn't show, but he could tell- Setsuna was like him after all.

Glancing up at the two machines, Duo let out a low whistle. "Both of 'em, huh? Swank." He sort of wondered what one would do, exactly, with two Gundams- but didn't ask. They'd all only just gotten here, after all.

Duo jerked a thumb towards the hulking black shadow behind them, enormous demon-like wings folded over itself with only the spike-adorned legs, dead-looking eyes and proud golden crest visible of most of its body.

"That's my buddy! His name's Gundam Deathscythe Hell."

And Setsuna hadn't even seen the DRAGOON system yet. So he was the straightforward type, then, huh? Kira briefly wondered how he'd get along with Shinn. "Kira Yamato. And you?"

Duo didn't say anything to this new pilot, yet- but he watched the interaction between him and Setsuna. Unless spoken to, if he had questions or anything to say once Setsuna'd gotten info outta him, he figured he'd speak up then.

For now, he inspected this guy's and the surrounding Gundams- not daring to touch them, but strolling around the Hangar to look them over. They basic looks of them were all the same as he was used to- but they all had various design differences and armaments he couldn't say he was familiar with.

Really, he just hoped they were all more or less on the same "side".

"Got it in one," Duo grinned. "Well, let's just say there's a lot more to him there than it seems. Hopefully you won't have to see it in person." He sure hoped not, in any case- if they could have just stopped the Mariemaia rebellion, he could go back to living peacefully- but somehow he had the feeling that he wouldn't be so lucky in this place. Not if what that voice he'd heard when he awoke had said was true.

Duo glances over Setsuna's suits, noting the various blade hilts and strange-looking engines mounted on the both of them. "Lesse... close, midrange combat? How many beam sabers ya got on them?"

Kira stepped into the little mechanized loop that lowered him down from the cockpit to the ground, and then noticed the other figure. He seemed younger than the two of them - as old as Kira had been in the first war? Maybe - and the Strike Freedom pilot offered him a glance.

"Ah... do you pilot, too?"
jesushasagundam: (Sunsets are great for pouting)

[personal profile] jesushasagundam 2010-10-03 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Hold on," Kira called back as he stepped into the access loop, which lowered him on a wire towards the ground. It'd be easier to talk like this rather than shouting up forty feet.

He hopped out of the wire smoothly and looked at the taller man. "The Strike Freedom? I pilot it." And he'd called them Gundams, hadn't he... so that was another person who used that word? Kira was beginning to think he was the odd man out.

Strange, new faces around the hanger, checking out his mobile suit? You bet Yzak stepped forward to approach Setsuna curiously.

"What are you doing here?"
silverduelist: (red ... neck ... man!!)

[personal profile] silverduelist 2010-10-03 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Naturally, Yzak was in the hangar as well when word of new arrivals reached him. He approached Setsuna and Duo for his own line of questioning, but paused, looking up when he heard that annoyingly familiar voice.

"You!" he called up to Kira. "Get down here, now!"

[identity profile] hellraiser02.livejournal.com 2010-10-03 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Duo's head tipped back to glance at Kira, and he greeted the other pilot with a friendly smile. "You could say that. This one is yours, huh?" The guy seemed softspoken and friendly enough, but Duo knew better than to let something like that speak for itself.

His glance instead flicked back to the suit, from the beam sabers at the suit's hips over its wings, folded up. "Armed to the teeth, huh. Whatsit called?"

[identity profile] hellraiser02.livejournal.com 2010-10-03 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Crazies. Why was it always the crazies.

"'bout the same, then," Duo mumbled to himself. He didn't volunteer any more explanation as to what he was referring to.

"I get by- 'sides, I like machines. And I have some buddies that help me with the basic maintenance stuff when I'm on Earth. But anyway, this ol' guy here was already supposed to have been sent off to the sun already.... That's twice today you've been saved from the brink, eh, buddy?" He calls up to the suit behind him, as if it would answer back.

[identity profile] hellraiser02.livejournal.com 2010-10-03 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Duo glances towards the new guy, noting the unfriendly look about him. Oh, this should be fun.

"Dunno why we should say anything if you're not gonna spill first," he replies defiantly, face taking on a slight pout.
