The More things Change [Open-ish, Pre-podpop]

Leon was, somehow, 900 kajillion light-years away from everything and everyone he ever knew. But what was he doing right now?

Walking through a ruined city that was crawling with raging infected in an attempt to locate and rescue any survivors. Again. Not that this work wasn't his stock and trade, but one would think that fate would have something else in store for him. But what is, is. At least he wasn't completely on his own, this time, having gathered a small group to go in and help.

With the virus having leaked out here initially, there was no telling where the hot zone was, so as a precaution, he (and anyone else who went) was wearing a modified combat-ready environment-suit. It was fairly light weight, but had some added padding in addition to body armor, and had ts own re-breather to supply air. In addition, he had a few weapons with him, as well as several clips of 'specialty' ammo, since he really had to be ready for anyone to be infected.

He moved through cautiously, looking for anyone who needed help.

((OOC: Open thread for anyone, infected or not, stuck in the city, and for anyone helping with the evac. Interacting with Leon isn't required, and you guys can free thread amongst yourselves if you want.))

There was a grunt that sounded like a groan, Dude quit while you're ahead!

He could try carrying Ax but he'd need to either knock him out or take out the tail.

There was a pause and then an idea that made his eyes gleam with devious intent.

Shifting back to human form "Alright dude I was saving this move for when there would be an audience but you've earned a sneak peak! I call this the school girl's nightmare!"

Shifting into a rabbit he dashed back and forth before throwing himself at Ax and shifting into Octopus form tentacles flailing aiming to wrap around his arms and tail.

The arms weren't a problem -- luckily, Ax hadn't picked up any of the modified Dracon beams -- but he definitely wasn't happy about the tail! He thrashed around, trying to stab Beastboy with his tail blade and coming very close to slicing himself open.

No octopus icon :(

Easy big fella!

The remaining tentacles split themselves so there were two wrapped around his head to cut off the air, one around each arm, and four just trying to keep that powerful tail in control. Beastboy himself got a few nice deep cuts along his Octopus body for his efforts which made him tighten his grip in anger.

You're probably gonna feel really bad about this later, either that or I'm gonna be more ticked off!

It was times like this Beastboy desperately wished he could speak in animal form so someone else could hear his witty banter.

Ax's thrashing grew more desperate as consciousness began to slip from his grasp. But between his injuries, Beastboy cutting off his air, and his inability to focus long enough to try to escape by morphing, he finally passed out.

Beastboy slid from Ax's prone form and shifted back to human pumping his fists in the air "Yeah! That's right! Who saved you who saved...OW!" He clutched at his bleeding shoulder and realized that maybe the celebrations should wait until after he was bandaged up.

Shifting into gorilla form once more he scooped up the blue furry one (Keeping a hand on his tail just in case) and began trudging in the direction of the med bay.

One down, only like two hundred more to go.
