We're Not In Kansas Anymore...

They might have been trying to get to the City, or another level, or anywhere else in the explored parts of Stacy. But when some crewmembers stepped into the transport tubes, they were going to find that where they ended up was not where they were trying to go.

The first sign that something was wrong was the strange electric jolt they get just after stepping into the tubes. The second sign was the unusually long time it took for them to get to their destination. And the third and final sign was the fact that when they arrived, it was in a place they would have never seen before.

To all appearances, it looked like a smaller replica of the crew quarters. If they ventured out a little further, they would find smaller versions of the mess hall, sleeping halls, and bathrooms as well. But there was one important difference.

They were completely and utterly empty.

And with any attempt to go back into the transport tubes failing, they appeared to be stuck here. What were they going to do?

[ooc: ICly this post happens over the course of a day, so not everyone arrives at the same time. If you tag into the post later, you can just assume that your character arrived later in the day. Also, your characters will not find that their omnicomms and communication rings don't work!

If you have a question about anything, you can ask on this ooc post.

Oh, and for this post threadjacking is welcome :P]

Great. Not only was he stuck in some random place with some girl knight, he was stuck in some random place with some girl knight who didn't appreciate his jokes. He was doomed.

"Wait, you worked hard for your shield? What, don't they give you one unless you've done enough pushups?" Marco said, looking dubious. Wasn't a shield supposed to like, give you protection? How the hell was it supposed to do that if they didn't give it to you to actually use?

"Yeah, where else would I be from? Space?"

Annoyance flashed across her mind first, thinking that this Marco might still have been mocking her, but it was broken a bit by surprise at the look on his face. Although the tone of his words hadn't seemed to change much, there seemed to be real confusion in his expression. It might well be common knowledge to her, but she'd been discovering quickly that it was not to many aboard the ship. "To bear the symbols of a knight's trade, you need to complete the required training and pass all the tests. It's demanding work, but well worth the effort."

"Perhaps you were from here originally. Perhaps you arrived from another place entirely. Given the constant strangeness of this place, who knows where you might be from?" she spat, no longer feeling charitable towards him. "All I do know about you is that they didn't bother to teach you manners there." Not that hers were that much better at the moment, but well...

(OOC: Thank you! :))

"What, and you're supposed to just hope that you'll never actually need a shield before you go an pass all the tests?" Marco said, looking dubious (and proving that he really didn't know anything about knights.)

"You did hear the spiel, right? Everyone is originally from somewhere else. The previous crew were a bunch of nutjobs who apparently all got killed, and the only other people who ever come onto this ship are the Daligig, and you can spot them a mile off by their 'we're so much more superior than you' attitude."
