Brainiac 5 does his best to ignore the rest of the crew, particularly those parts of it playing around like overgrown children, and navigates himself over to the wall closest to the bulk of the ship. A task made relatively simple by both his familiarity with space travel and the fact he possesses extendible limbs.

Once there, he focuses his attention on the retreating form of the main ship and initiates some standard scans, as well as recording what he sees. There isn't any time to look over the data now, but he's certain that his counterpart and others of the engineering crew will appreciate it later.
