Even despite his fear, the inanimate shadows looked tempting. For all he knew it would be his last meal. Normally he would shy away from the physical contact of touching her hand, but it was the perfect excuse to easily eat one of the shadows. He swallowed hard and hesitantly reached out and took her hand, easily absorbing two of the shadows into himself. The waves of emotion they brought with them made him shiver as tears welled in his eyes. He blinked them away, trying to look as normal as he could.
((You don't quite repress them, they linger there as long as the emotion is being on some level felt at the time. They "hibernate" if the emotion isn't actually being felt at the time. It's... complex. ^_^' Uh, when Alex eats them, it takes away the negative feeling, leaving a sort of level view of things. It allows for rationality. He can get a sense of the emotion, though what he would get of the cause of the emotion from such a low level shadow would be too fuzzy for him to even start to understand. Sorry his powers or so complex. Should go smoother as I get used to playing him.))
