Char was just starting to wonder about the number of kids in this unit - even discounting Axl as a robot, it was even more ridiculous than back home - and he apparently gets teamed up with one of the youngest ones. His keen Newtype senses tell him not to make an issue of this, though, and he keeps his mouth shut as he looks ahead at the track and the rest of the obstacle course, ready to start moving when she does, and considering how having a partner half his age and at least fifty pounds lighter would work out.
