Luckily, the walk down to the cargo bay wasn't all that long, and Serenity was fairly easy to get to. Kaylee left Dean up in the ship's kitchen momentarily while she checked to make sure no one else Simon was going to interrupt. Then it was back to the kitchen, where she seated herself in one of the chairs at the table and prepared herself to listen.
