Katara shook her head. "Where I'm from is the South Pole, where there's only water and ice, so that's why its waterbenders. The North pole is the same too. But in the earth kingdom there are Earthbenders, and in the Fire Nation, there are Firebenders. Its all specific to locations. There were air nomads too, but they're all extinct now."
