"I dunno, might be two years. It's just what Ben thinks at this point. might be that I'm stuck for a few years, might be that I age normally. It's a wait-see game. But m'not going back to nineteen." Kala shrugged lightly. "I'm a little more in control this way, yeah?"

Seventy to eighty years of being one age was a good chunk.

"That's a long time to watch the world go by," Kala said distantly, trying to figure out what that might be like. It explained the jaded bitterness and she understood it a little better.
