Fortunately for Billy's throat, that's enough detail to overcome Jamie's suspicions. He visibly relaxes as Billy speaks, although he doesn't do so completely. There's too much danger at the moment for him to do that.

"It's not your fault," he says then. "I was the one who attacked ye to start with when I was already hurt." Which was probably not the best plan, all things considered - but Jamie has a problem thinking these sort of things through. However, he is keenly aware that having a lengthy discussion about the situation right now is a bad, bad idea. If they both make it through this, they can work things out then.

"Look, we can talk about it later. Can ye move? I think we need to find some of the others before that giant slavering beastie heads back this way."
